Realities of the domestic AMP market: comparison of 2020 and 2021

Over the last 10–15 years, the technology for producing of asphalt concrete mixtures has changed significantly. With the growth of the requirements for the quality of asphalt concrete mixtures, the need for new high-quality equipment for their production is increasing.

What is going on today in production and operation of AMP on Ukrainian road market? What are the main criteria for choosing of AMP manufacturer?

Deputy Chief Designer of PrJSC “Kredmash” Serhiy Perepelchenko, answers these and other questions.

According to the results of 2020, about 4000 km of national roads were upgraded in Ukraine. This year it is planned to build new and repair old roads of national importance with a total length of more than 4500 km. The focus is on international and national roads. Accordingly, with the increase in the volume of road construction work, the demand for asphalt mixing plants also increases. So, in 2020–2021, the company “Kredmash” significantly increased the total quantity of sold in Ukraine AMP.

For example, during 9 months of 2021 we shipped 30 asphalt mixing plants to Ukrainian road workers. The main buyers are large road construction companies. Regarding the geography of supplies, it is rather difficult to single out any region, as all regions of Ukraine buy our plants.

When buying a new asphalt concrete plant, the client may have questions related to the placement of equipment at the construction site, the required capacity of the substation, details during installation and commissioning, subsequent operation and maintenance. The specialists of PrJSC “Kredmash” will be happy to answer all these questions and help the client: they will go to the site, adjustment the plant on the site, install and commission the equipment, train the customer’s personnel, provide service support, including using remote access to the plant control.

That is, the specialists of PrJSC “Kredmash” will make every effort so that the client avoids mistakes when choosing road equipment. It is necessary to remember that any plants sooner or later are breaking down, wear out, especially in intensive operating modes. Therefore, PrJSC "Kredmash" supplies spare parts as soon as possible, since we manufacture them and are located in Ukraine. For example, spare parts can be sent by Nova Poshta.

When choosing ACP, one cannot save on fractions. Minimum is 5 fractions. This allows you to produce not only the bottom, but also the top layer of the road surface.

In addition, CAU (Cellulose Additive Unit) and Adhesive Additive Unit allow the production of SMA (stone mastic asphalt) and improve the bitumen properties. A complete dust unit provides control of the dust amount in the finished mixture (dust is the most bitumen-absorbing component). Background frames reduce the cost of producing of concrete foundations.

On the Ukrainian market, PrJSC “Kredmash” offers asphalt mixing plants of a new model range KDM208, KDM209, KDM206, KDM205 of tower type with a capacity of 80 to 200 t/h, manufactured in accordance with the requirements and standards of the European Union. In addition, still popular upgraded parterre units KDM201 with capacity of 110 t/h, DS-168 with capacity of 160 t/h and modifications of DS-185 plant with capacity of 64 t/h, with 5-fraction system of screening and dosing of stone materials.
